Providing support and funding to cricket clubs across the country as they return to cricket.

Wrenthorpe cc have struggled to play cricket during this exceptional season and as a result our inclusive sports club has seen a decline in funds/income and this is affecting the running of our club.
We are aiming to raise funds to support and sustain our cricket club. A club that is run by volunteers and is reliant on income raised throughout the cricket season (April-August) which has been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We have held social distanced practices and some games in line with ECB protocols but our income to pay running costs and repair essential items, such as our lawn mower, has been severely restricted. As a club that is run solely by volunteers we are trying to re-establish our community club and facilitate a safe return to cricket for our members and players so we need to raise essential funds so we can work to maintain the grounds and club facilities. Key priorities for us - 1. Repair our lawn mower. 2. Repair our player and spectator seating to enhance our general spectator experience. . 3. Fund utilities and other bills with a declining income to ensure we can still play in 2021 and beyond. 4. Buy new equipment for playing and training purposes.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Wrenthorpe cc benefits so many people and it is essential we raise funds to support the club during this difficult period. All players, whether All stars, Juniors, Seniors need to play in a ground and at facilities that are safe and fit for purpose. The ground has been difficult to maintain this year as the club lawn mower has broken and we were reliant on kind neighbours and club members to cut the grass. Spectators and families benefit from the social element of cricket as our practices and games are a meeting place for recreation and well-being. It is a very relaxed and safe outdoor space for the whole community to benefit. Wrenthorpe cricket club cuts across generations and provides health benefits for those playing the sport but also health benefits for those local residents attending the games as the club provides a strong network and hub for the community. Overall, our community club is committed to providing a sporting and community experience that is like no other.
