Help us to maintain our magnificent ground! Founded in 1834, West Bromwich Dartmouth is a founder member of the oldest cricket league in the world. In 2020 the club is celebrating 100 years of playing at Sandwell Park. The ground is one of the top grounds in the Midlands and regularly hosts Staffordshire County fixtures and has in the past hosted the West Indies, Australia and Rest of the World teams.
As you would expect. Maintaining a ground of this standard comes at a cost. Throughout the lockdown period our full-time groundsman, Andy Cartwright, has been at the club and the adjoining ground rolling and cutting on a regular basis.
The clubhouse itself is also undergoing a refurbishment. This was due to be ready for the start of the season. This has had to be put on hold, partly completed.
We therefore ask that if you can make a donation, to help us through this difficult period? Any support is appreciated.
What we'll deliver:
- Continue the refurbishment of the clubhouse
- Maintain the ground to its normal high standards
Why it's a great idea:
West Bromwich is situated in Sandwell, one of the most deprived areas of the UK. By helping us out, you will enable the club to run 4 senior teams. A thriving junior section ranging from All Stars, age 5. Through to Under 19's. Plus, a growing Women and Girls section.
Steps to get it done:
- Finish the refurbishment of the clubhouse
