Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
By NW7HUB
NW7hub is open as a Distribution Hub in response to the growing need for donations of essential goods as social isolation measures increase to combat COVID-19. We need your help to continue this work.
There is growing demand for donations of essential goods in Mill Hill and the surrounding areas, as a result of the social isolation measures needed to combat COVID-19. We are open as a Distribution Hub, collecting donations and working with key local organisations to get donations to the people that need them. We are currently accepting donations of tinned and dried food, personal hygiene products and cleaning products. The NW7hub Distribution Hub will provide an easily accessible donation point, already known to the residents in the area, and will have regular, staffed opening hours. This will make it simple for individuals and businesses to make donations. We are initially fundraising to cover the running costs for ONE MONTH but will do everything we can to stay open as long as there is demand.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
By keeping the NW7hub open as Distribution Hub we believe the donations of food and other essential items will support those in need during this very difficult time. These include young families, our elderly population, the less able-bodied and key workers as well as the rest of our wonderful community.
Steps to get it done:
Our aim as a charity is to reduce the effects of social isolation and anxiety on mental health and wellbeing. Normally we do this through our community space and running Mill Hill Partnership Library, but with the impact of social isolation, we are now doing this by helping to provide food and essential items to those who are most affected by it.
