Why it's a great idea:
We are a family friendly cricket club serving a rural area and have been running for nearly 100-years. We play Junior and Adult cricket and host teams for older people and local pub teams. We run fundraising events for the local community and raised money for MIND and the NHS during Covid-19. We work closely with our local villages and surrounding areas and have a popular Friday night Junior training night and fundraising events throughout the year for those who are members and those who are not. We are proud to be at the heart of our local community and support sport, health and well-being.

Three years ago we asked for your help in keeping our club running during difficult Covid times. With your support we not only managed to keep going but to thrive. Your money helped us pay the bills, keep cricket running, stock the bar and maintain the building and grounds. Thank you. We now have three adult teams playing each Saturday, a Sunday team, T20 teams and U13 and U15 teams. Thank you for all at Abberton and District Cricket Club.

VolunteerAbberton and District Crickt Club is a family friendly cricket club set in the beautiful Essex countryside. We love cricket and have a thriving Junior side with squads for ages 5-14 and a number of popular Adult teams. We are proud to be at the heart of our local community. We are a registered charity and the Covid-19 pandemic has seriously impacted our ability to fundraise. Help us maintain our beautiful grounds and support our club to continue playing cricket for all.
