Support summer fun @ CHIPS Guildford!
Help us give 180 vulnerable and disadvantaged children aged 5-11 living in Westborough and Stoke a fabulous summer full of new friendships, exciting activities and fun!
About the Project Creator
At CHIPS we help the most vulnerable children and families in our community by delivering fun, safe and stimulating Easter and summer holiday play and respite provision that increases the children's confidence and self-esteem, raises their aspirations, gets them active and supports improved mental and physical health and well-being. We support at least 250 children aged 5-11 years-old each year from our deprived local areas in Ash, Westborough and Stoke in Guildford with at least one-third of children attending our project for free (and the remainder at a significantly subsidised cost of £10 per child per day) referred to us by local schools based on the needs of the child and home. We are fully inclusive with between a quarter to a third of the children joining us having additional needs related to autism, speech and language difficulties or ADHD. For the last five years we have offered all the children attending our provision a free, nutritious, hot two-course lunch. This has helped alleviate the food poverty affecting many of the families we support.
