Covid-19 has impacted our ability to hold our normal fundraising activities or ask for the usual membership fees. We hope to be able to raise additional funds to support the continued growth at STCC.
We want to be able to continue with our plans for improving our ground and to ensure that we have the best facilities we can have for all members and opponents. Whilst we were have been able to do some ground maintenance and play some cricket during the 2020 season we were hoping to be able to raise enough funds to allow us to redevelop our nets and upgrade some of the junior kit. There are repairs to the nets that need to be considered should funding be available. We will be playing a number of women's and girls matches on our pitches and we are keen to purchase coloured clothing for our girls team to be aligned with our ladies team..
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Our nets need to be refurbished, they are unusable at present which limits what we can do during this period where adaptations have needed to be implemented to protect the safety of our members and guests. Raising funds will help us to apply for funding to cover the costs of such works. We are keen To provide some coloured clothing for our girls team, whites are not always the first choice of clothing for a variety of reasons and we are keen to ensure that all of our players are comfortable in what they wear to play cricket and make their experience the most enjoyable it can be. We have managed to make some adaptations to our cricket club during the pandemic and we are keen to ensure we continue to make adaptations to keep players safe. Additional shelters will make the best use of the outdoor space at STCC.
