This project was funded on 21 May 2020!

Like many sports clubs around the country we are reliant on a few sources of income to run the club. The likely suspension of cricket of the majority or whole of the season is putting real pressure on the finances of the club and will almost certainly delay some of the development projects that we had planned and seriously affect our role as a welcoming club for players (young and old, male and female), parents, volunteers, supporters and sponsors. We are, therefore, funding a drive to help the club through this difficult year and to ensure we can continue to exist and thrive for many years ahead.

What we'll deliver:

  • Deliver a safe and welcoming environment for our players, parents, supporters, volunteers and sponsors
  • To continue to maintain and improve our facilities at the Abbey Lawn

Why it's a great idea:

Ensuring our juniors and their parents see the club as a welcoming and safe place for their children and that this will become a lifelong engagement. To continue on our progress to develop, grow and enhance the cricket offering for women and girls in our area.

Steps to get it done:

  • To ensure that we are ready to restart cricket at the club when it is safe to do so.

Bourne is a growing traditional market town and it is important for the Clubs in the town to grow with it in order to deliver the quality of sport that the community deserves and needs.
