Raising funds for Alberbury Cricket Club to compensate for the loss of income caused by the Corona Virus.
Alberbury Cricket Club has ongoing running costs, even in the absence of weekend, evening and junior cricket due to the Corona virus. Insurance, rent and utility bills still have to be paid and the pavilion, square, outfield and surrounds have to be maintained. Match and coaching subs normally cover this, but without them the additional funds that have been raised to develop the pavilion for girls cricket and replace ground equipment are being consumed. Contributing to this crowdfunding effort will help the club to be ready and in a strong position when we are finally able to get back on the field.

Why it's a great idea:
Alberbury CC provides recreational weekend and evening cricket for the local community, as well as junior coaching to boys and girls, through it's own programme and ECB's All Stars. This summer should also have seen a new national programme, called Dynamos, for 9-11 year olds in the local area. It is a valuable community asset that needs to be supported through this difficult time, to ensure it is able to continue to offer great value sport for all abilities and age groups.

VolunteerAlberbury Cricket Club is an amateur club, with three teams playing in the Shropshire Cricket League. We have a thriving junior section, indoor and evening teams and social life based around the Hand and Diamond pub. The ground is situated right on the Wales England border and sits within a dairy farm. Most of the players and supporters live locally in the beautiful Shropshire and Powys countryside. The club has no employees or club professional, and we rely entirely on the work of volunteers to maintain the ground and provide coaching for juniors.
