We are a thriving community gardening group in east London. We require funding that will help us a lot, including the creation of a wildlife garden with pollinating planting and insect habitats.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

About the Project Creator
Hello! My name is Antony Nelson and I have been running and looking after Bethnal Green Fingers gardening group as a volunteer for about 12 years. I am a Landscape Architect by trade and I am horticulturally trained. Over the years we have come together as a community and made a massive positive impact on our estate in east London. The project has grown and it takes a lot of time and money to keep in looking great. But we want it to be even better. For many years it was funded by our Housing Association, which even allowed us to pay for part-time professional gardener. But that was all withdrawn a couple of years ago. Our first step would be to raise enough money to kick start things again in buying 100 beautiful plants and adding to our existing gardens with a new wildlife area. But plants aren't cheap! The planting would be done through a community gardening day sometime in the summer, depending on if we can reach our goal. We also need some funds for a few tools and gloves that would last quite a few years. I promise that every pound we receive goes directly into the community gardens and creating a beautiful habitat for wildlife and many hundreds of residents and visitors to enjoy! Please do sponsor us if you can and come and visit us anytime.
The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
