The idea
Subsidiary Projects is an artist led space that offers other artists and curators the opportunity to test new work and ideas without having to pay for the space. We provide artist guidance, curational advice, writing material for the shows. Exhibitions are open to the public via appointment and anyone can present a project to exhibit. We are in charge of presenting the space, the promotion of the show and the artists in our webpage and Instagram account. The only thing we ask from artists is to be ready to take risks, challenge the space and play around. We offer creative people the opportunity to present their work to the public without economically compromising anything.

Why it's a great idea
We are doing things differently! We are not a normal gallery, people come here and stay to have a tea, the art discussion is always flowing. We all know how hard it is for artists to show their work without having to pay galleries for the space, and we want to change that. We are offering a great exhibition space as well as online platform to provide what some people cannot afford. There is too much great art out there that does not get the opportunity to be exhibited!

Subsidiary Projects is aiming for under exposed artists, focusing specially on women artists, we want to provide a place for everyone to have a go at exhibiting their work!
