Like many cricket clubs, the COVID-19 epidemic has hit Stony Stratford hard. The announcement by the ECB to suspend all fixtures is entirely understandable, but the financial implications of this situation on our cricket club are significant. This is particularly so, as a large amount of costs will still be incurred regardless, such as insurance, utilities, pitch maintenance, etc.
The club depends on income from its membership, from matches and from social events. All of these have taken a significant hit this year, although we are extremely grateful for the membership subscriptions and other voluntary contributions we have already received. The club operates on a limited budget and has very few resources to call upon when things are tough. Your donation will help ensure that the club can survive and build towards next season and beyond.
What we'll deliver:
- Maintain the ground
- Pay utility bills
- Ensure the financial stability of the club
- Any excess funds raised will be put towards practice and training equipment
Why it's a great idea:
This project will help ensure the stability and future of Stony Stratford Cricket Club through the current financial hardships and help it survive into next and future seasons.
Steps to get it done:
- Raise enough funds to secure the financial future of the club
- Meeting project target by end of June
