We are a Community Interest Company providing Events, Education, Training and Workshops, for children aged 5 to 16 years of age based in the deprived areas of Greater London.
We address social impact and changes based within communities to enable vulnerable children especially BAME groups to engage them in activities.
Investing in communities with extra curricular activities for children, makes our world a safer place as it greatly reduces the number of children at risk of crime and violence.
It takes children and young people off the streets - gives children and young people something positive to become a part of. A project to be proud of that builds valuable skills in them. This promotes the community, boosts the economy and ensures we continue to build homegrown talents.
STEAM learning will reduce the shortage of skills gap the industry is currently faced with, which reduces the nation's GDP.
Providing activities that support BAME communities also means that proportion of BAME employees in the digital industry will be improved in the future.
We are proud to be one of the first ever STEAM clubs in Havering providing FREE services to children and young people. We shall continue to raise awareness of STEAM learning and its advantage to young people, highlighting the importance of starting STEAM learning at an early age.
We have been tried and tested for four years in supporting STEAM learning and utilizing public spaces such as the local Harold Hill library in our quest to make STEAM learning a norm.
So far, we provided over 400 hours of FREE learning in our online platform during the lockdown. This served as a support network which occupied children in the most confusing and unprecedented time of history. Children and young people were still able to socialise despite living in lockdown with the help of our online platform. Students engaged in daily learning, played, stayed creative and collaborated with peers forming a great bond in our secured and monitored platform.
As lockdown gradually eases, we will be returning to our library base offering small sized face to face sessions in accordance to social distancing guidelines.
To further ease the problems caused by the pandemic, we have added more services (Homework Zone - Maths and English ) to support the most vulnerable children who have been out of school for nearly six months due to the recent crisis to help them get to speed with learning.
