More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

The aim of the project was to use renewable energy sources and using sustainable resources where possible in order to create a space with environmental sustainability in mind. The project has been successful in providing exactly that.

The local economy

The local economy

At Stamford Street allotment society we recognise that local community groups need a space to meet that is free of charge. The allotment space we have created provides a safe secure and easy-to-access site for community groups to use. We have already had interest from mental health groups, local schools, and groups doing yoga who want an outdoor space to practice.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

The volunteer branch of the project initially struggled with sustaining volunteers. Since the support of TCV (The Conservation Group), we have had a keen interest from local members of the community who would like to volunteer their time on the allotments.
