We are fundraising to offer 100 festive packs and theatre tickets to partners including Rays of Sunshine, Solace Women’s Aid, New Citizen's Gateway, Noah's Ark Children's Hospice & Homestart Barnet.
Spread The Joy - access to creative learning and arts for all. This Autumn we are fundraising to distribute 100 festive packs to 5 partners: Rays of Sunshine, New Citizens Gateway, Homestart Barnet, Solace Women’s Aid, Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. The packs (20 for each partner) will include: - Festive treat packs with chocolates, dried fruit and nuts - A theatre game Partners will also receive 20 free tickets they can pass on to families for a theatre visit, and will be able to refer a young person to our Easter and/or Summer Camps on a free place. All beneficiaries will need to be families where children are in receipt of Free School Meals.

This project will help bridge the cost-of-living divide for those struggling to make ends meet this Christmas and into 2024. By working with five partners we are able to address multiple disadvantages as follows: New Citizens Gateway - is a charity that supports refugees and asylum seekers as they integrate into life in the UK Noah's Ark Children's Hospice - helps children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day Solace Women's Aid - helping women and children who have escaped domestic violence - providing positive and fun family moments that also supports creativity and learning for the children Rays of Sunshine - provides positive experiences for life limited children and their families Homestart Barnet - is a children's centre supporting low income families and looked after children We want to bring opportunities for play, imagination, adventure, and creativity for these children & families.

Volunteerartsdepot is an arts venue in North Finchley that welcomes 160,000 visitors annually to a broad programme of theatre, comedy, circus, and visual arts. Our community engagment work includes creative careers & learning projects targetted at young people excluded from mainstream school, young people with special educational needs, and those from low income backgrounds. Each year we welcome 12,000 children and young people taking part in creative learning and performance opportunities. artsdepot is co-founder and administrator of Barnet & Culture For Youth - a cultural education partnership that brings together 14 founding partners and over 100 members in support of the mission that every child and young person in Barnet has access to a rich cultural education.
