The South London Art Map showcases over 190 galleries & studios over South London, providing visitors with a unique behind the scenes experience of some of the amazing spaces, curators and artists behind the thriving art scene in South London. We aim to bring art to the forefront of our city and make galleries and art studios as accessible as possible by offering walking tours, a printed map and magazine you can pick up in cafes and bars, a great website to show you what is on when and a cool late night opening of art around South London.

Galleries and studios are at the heart of South London but can sometimes be difficult to find or intimidating to enter. By providing a map, tours, website and late opening SLAM breaks down the barriers to being part of the art scene and offers a unique insight into the world of an artist or gallery.

VolunteerSLAM began in 2010 as a grassroots organisation. Our aim is to ‘bring art to the forefront of our cities through a print map, App website, walking tours and a late night opening called 'SLAM Fridays' on the last Friday of every month.
Our focus is on emerging and contemporary visual art. Wonderfully the places you can find these emerging art scenes happen to be some of the most interesting, undiscovered parts of town.
Join us in uncovering some of the most intriguing galleries and studios in London, whilst sampling the architecture, shops, emerging food scene and history each ‘hub’ has to offer.
