Taking place on Sat July 11 in Centenary Square, Bradford - right in the city centre, we'll be working in partnership with Bradford City Council to create our very own Pod Village!! The main stage will feature live music from some of the UK and Bradford's finest, dj sets, and special guest appearances plus street dance too! In the pods hands you can pick from a staggering range of workshops in music, dance, documentary film-making, music industry master classes and hands on activities - including learning to play instruments, vocal workshops and much, much more Bradford Urban Festival is the only place to be this July!
We are still confirming our headline acts , other highlights already include Step FaWord – Poetry with Caribbean and African poets, Stig of the Dub Reggae band, 'How to' workshops and Drumming master classes and its all gonna be free!! Watch out for the full line up which will be getting announced very soon and then get the date in your diary and get ready to party!

Why it's a great idea:
Music and urban arts matter and our Bradford Urban Festival and Bradford Sound of the Suburbs workshop programme gives local people the chance to come together to celebrate all of that in style! By working locally we are involving a genuinely wide range of talented people from all over Bradford and inviting them to help make it happen! When people get together to make something exciting happen it seems to bring out the very best in everyone! People discover new skill and talents that they didn't know they had and by working together around a common goal they can really achieve something great for their community. Oh, and we hope to make Bradford Urban Festival the best if its kind in the UK too!

Bradford is filled with so many talented people from a rich and diverse range of cultural backgrounds. We'll platform all of this talent from our community via the Bradford Urban Festival. We like putting on music and arts events with local people - sharing and learning together to create our own unique opportunities to celebrate who we are, and be together through music. Our festival is already really special and magical - people coming together to make it happen.
