Objectives :The Solar Panel Project has 2 aims 1. To reduce the cost of heating and lighting the building and keep costs down for the groups that use it. 2. To contribute to reduction in climate damage, reduce C02 emissions, follow green agenda, contribute to CWAC targets to reduce C02 emissions by 2030 We are keen to try and do a small part of the efforts to protect our environment and our planet at this time of climate crisis We believe that God has provided the sun’s energy for us to harness and use wisely. It makes sense to use the large roof area to generate energy. We believe there will be excess energy generated which will be fed back to the grid for the community to use We wish to install battery storage technology to store energy to use in the evenings when the building is used more We understand the initial installation cost may be high, but savings made over time and the reduction in C02 damage to the environment make the project essential for us to do now
