By Tarporley Baptist and Methodist Chapel
Following a successful refurbishment in 2016 and a recent new roof in 2022, the Chapel wish to install solar panels on the large sloping south facing roof.

We are crowdfunding for the costs of installing solar panels on a vibrant local Chapel in Tarporley. The Chapel has long and deep links within the village and the surrounding area. The Chapel is used for Christian worship and is also widely used by other community groups. The chapel and the manse where the pastor lives are large and old and are expensive to heat and light. Having Solar Panels will allow us to save money, follow a green agenda and do other things. The visibility of the Solar Panels will provide further encouragement to the local community that we are aware of the climate emergency and doing our bit to help After my presentation to the congregation about Solar Panels and Spacehive some of the congregation approached me about doing their own solar panels at home so this has given the green agenda a real boost.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The solar panel project has 2 aims 1 To reduce the cost of heating and lighting the building and keep costs down for the groups that use it 2 To contribute to reduction in climate change, reduce CO2 emissions, follow Green Agenda and contribute to CWAC targets to reduce CO2 emissions by 2030
