Climate change threatens our world, particularly our natural habitats, like never before. The Arctic is melting, the Amazon burning and our forests & seagrass habitats desperately need restoration so to promote carbon storage.
We too can do our bit!
Solar panel installation will ensure that we:
1. reduce our carbon footprint,
2. promote sustainable energy consumption,
3. make savings on our energy bills which we can reinvest into the community.
Solar panel costs have halved over the last decade, while energy prices continue to rise - now is the time to invest in a sustainable future!
We secured £5,025 grant funding from the Greater London Authority’s 'London Community Energy Fund' for the development stage of the project. We now seek additional funding for the capital costs.
What we'll deliver:
- 12 solar panels - Solarwatt 360W Eco 120 Black
- Mounting system - Solar Limpets & Renusol Rails
- Inverter - Fronius 1 x 3.6kW
- Projected carbon savings per annum: 0.8-1.16 CO2e (tonnes)
- Projected energy generation per annum: 3942 (kWh)
- Community training to maintain the longevity of the panels and associated mechanisms.
- Community engagement so to promote the use of sustainable energy domestically and commercially in the wider borough.
- Projected cost savings within 25 years: £11,429, which will be reinvested back into the community through our projects.
