The Latest from Young Carers Socially Making ART - Dover

Since reaching our target, we have continued to deliver the project at pace, expanding both our reach and impact beyond what was originally planned.

Supporting Young Carers and their families
To date, we have engaged with over 275 Young Carers and their families, exceeding our original target of 250. Support has been delivered through ongoing engagement, direct contact, and partnership working, ensuring Young Carers felt supported, recognised, and able to access help when needed. Where appropriate, families have been included to strengthen support networks and improve overall wellbeing. Our approach has remained flexible and responsive, allowing us to adapt to emerging needs while staying aligned with our original aims.

Producing and distributing creative care packages
We have also produced and distributed nearly 3000 creative care packages, exceeding our initial commitment of 2500. This included providing every Young Carer and their family with Christmas presents, ensuring no one was excluded during the festive period. Packages were carefully assembled to include practical, creative, and wellbeing-focused items and were distributed through trusted partners and direct delivery routes to ensure they reached those most in need.

Overall, the project has been delivered in line with — and beyond — what we set out to achieve. We have monitored outputs closely, maintained quality throughout delivery, and ensured that Young Carers and their families remained at the centre of our work.
