Following on from Hull's first ever giant slip and slide block party last summer, we're back for round 2, and this time it'll be bigger and wetter than before!

This free event is for all ages and cultures, and is a fantastic way to bring the community together for a fun day in the summer sun.

Participants are to enlist online for a chance to slide down the 100 foot slide that will run down St Stephens Urban landscape. There will also be a stage showcasing some of Hull's best bands, and some local artists and face painters to entertain the little ones.

Please pledge to make this event a reality... and we'll see you on the slide!

What we'll deliver:

• Organise live music and street performance
• Bring a giant slip and slide to Hull
• Film and document the whole event

Why it's a great idea:

It's a great idea because it provides a fun and free family environment that offers the community an opportunity to engage in a unique and rare activity that many of them have seen online being held in other cities around the world but most likely wasn't going to happen in Hull.

This event will also give positive inspiration to fellow Hull creatives, showing them that events such as these are possible, and making locals proud of our city. Not to mention it's just a good laugh for all!

Steps to get it done:

• Secure staff such as stewards and first aid
• Set up portable toilets and changing areas
• Pay for slip and slide plus public liability insurance
