Connect Community Groups CIC is a non-profit community interest company based on the Fylde coast. We offer a high quality music and arts programme, bringing people of all ages and abilities together to be part of a creative and caring community where everyone is welcome and everyone’s voice is valued.
Within our regular choir sessions, workshops and seasonal events we focus on upskilling participants through music and creative activities in a safe, supportive space free from prejudice that offers a sense of belonging, grows members’ confidence and self-esteem, and raises aspirations.
Connect Community Choir, is a really friendly, fully inclusive wellbeing choir formed over seven years ago and based in St Annes. We sing for fun, creative health and happiness and love being in such a life-enhancing choir: making music and making friends! Some of us are living with health conditions including anxiety, chronic pain and dementia and some of us aen't but everyone is warmly welcomed in a relaxing, joyful, caring and supportive environment.
Throughout the year, we partner with Connect More art and peer support group and other local and national organisations, offering unique collaborative opportunities and experiences. For example, Soroptimists International, The Danbro Foundation and Lowther Theatre all supported our last very successful Spacehive project, which we just completed with a beautiful intergenerational performance at the theatre: Singing by The Sea.
Please get in touch if you are interested in coming along to any of our groups or would like to help support the local community by volunteering, sponsoring or assisting with our large community sharing events - we'd love to hear from you.
