Young parents and babies will come together weekly for 10 weeks, eat together, enjoy social interaction and, through music, will learn the importance of communicating with their babies.

Exciting news just in! We’ve had pledges worth almost £11.5K for our #singchatandrhyme target to help disadvantaged young families in Cambridgeshire, thanks to a commitment from @ace_national to match fund our first £6K! BUT: We’ve only got six days to go before our crowdfunding deadline and will lose everything if we can’t hit our target. Can you help us to get over the line? Hi thank you so much for your support for our Sing Chat and Rhyme project. We've nearly reached the £6,266 target we need to unlock over £6000 match funding from Arts Council England. Did you catch the great coverage of our fundraising campaign in the news? We were on Radio Cambs and in the Cambridge Independent and Cambridge News. Cambridgeshire Music’s vision is that all children, families and adults in Cambridgeshire take advantage of the rich cultural opportunities available in the county, and that the providers of those opportunities work together to drive quality and reach. We provide children, families and adults in Cambridgeshire with high quality performing arts education and therapy, through direct delivery, commissioning and strategic leadership. Our direct delivery includes tuition on a wide range of instruments, and opportunities for young people to play together in ensembles and bands at all levels. We loan instruments to individual learners and schools and hold an extensive library of sheet music for reference and loan. We provide music and drama therapy in a variety of settings. Our special projects bring live music into schools and open up opportunities for young people to work with professional artists and take part in large-scale events. As lead organisation for the Cambridgeshire Music Education Hub, we work with a wide range of organisations to create joined-up music education provision, respond to local need and deliver the National Plan for Music Education. Our many partners include schools, local authorities, higher education institutions, orchestras, arts and culture organisations and cultural education partnerships. We have over eighty staff and are constituted as a trading service within the Learning Directorate of Cambridgeshire County Council.
