Arts, culture & heritage
Our project has had an incredible response and has grown significantly over the past two months. We have offered to date, 5 sewcial groups where 16 people have joined in from our community, and two new to sewing groups which saw a further 10 residents benefitting from our group. We are offering a safe space for people to come and sew and learn to sew, it is helping people in our community socialise and and learn a new skill. We’ve had some incredible feebback of how our group has supported and helped, both practical, but as well for the benefits of their mental health and well being.
Activity, health and leisure
We are offering a safe space for our local community to learn a new skill or develop an existing sewing skill. We have had already an incredible response on how the people attending, our group is something they look forward to who find it difficult socialising otherwise. We’ve also had feedback of how someone who felt isolated, our group is really helping them to make new friends and build up confidence against social anxiety.
