Beyond grateful to Cheshire East for pledging to our project. Their generous donation means we are closer to reaching our goal and making this exhibit possible. Mental Health is such an important topic and we hope that this project will bring more awareness to the community. This is the second portrait in the collection; “The Pit.”

This is one of the photos from the collection. The photographer is hard at work getting the rest ready. We hope this gives you an idea of what the entire collection will feel like.

The photoshoot for "Seeing MI" took place yesterday. It went well and we got some fantastic shots. We're very excited for you to see these photos.

Thank you so much to all of you who have donated money so far. We are all in a tough position with the cost of living so I know that every penny counts at the moment, but this crisis is going to impact everyone in so many ways, including their mental health, which is why this project is so important. We are told to talk about mental health, which we should. Talking about mental illness should be as normal as talking about any illness, but unlike other illnesses, mental health is invisible. The aim of this project is to *show* what mental health *feels* like. There are 300 types of mental illness and if I could show a feeling for all 300, I would, but I haven’t met 300 people; each with one of those types of mental illness. This project is personal to me and those who are involved. Everyone I have met - including those involved - have described the feelings we intend to show. The models and photographer of this project, including myself, have all stated we have felt these feelings at one point or another in our lives. Sometimes on a regular basis. These photos, this exhibit is just the tip of the iceberg on what mental health can feel like for only a minority of the people who suffer with mental illness, but we hope it’s the start of helping people understand when words aren’t enough. Please share this link with family and friends; with colleagues or any small, local business. We have 37 days left to raise £1,693.00. Please help us make this project possible.
