More about our impact
The environment
The park continues to be a vibrant place for wildlife and birds to thrive. The evidence is always very clear when spending time in the park from the variety of bird song but also the peacefulness of the space for other wildlife.
The local economy
We were able to employ local contractors to help with our work. Also the project allowed the park to have a greater profile via our social media.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We have a core group of volunteers, however our call out for additional help Sat 26 April 2025 day of the spreading of gravel was very positive. We provided drinks and refreshments for the almost 25 strong group who helped on gravel installation day! Plus one volunteer came with their small digger, which made light work of the whole project!
Activity, health and leisure
The park is naturally a space for physical and mental wellbeing. The work we have been able to do ensures this recreational space will be available for many years to come.
