Removal of dangerous trees to be replaced with shrubs, bushes, bulbs, a new drainage system & seating. We will also be reconnecting vital electric & water supplies.
Due to severe storm damage at Saughall Colts JFC last year a number of Poplar trees were uprooted causing damage and those remaining are in a dangerous condition. Removal would enable the bare land created to be free from the risk of falling trees and transformed into a nature garden, inclusive of new drainage system, which would improve the land absorption. As the number of Members has increased (now 30 teams) it is vital to reconnect the Water & Electric supplies to aid H & S procedures with everyone able to enjoy hot/cold refreshments. Both utilities will be run in parallel in the same trench from a location in the car park and installed to the latest Water and Electrical standards. Both elements of the project are designed with our members safety, wellbeing and enjoyment as paramount along with providing a nature area for all the community to enjoy at weekends. It is expected that, with our successful campaign, to be able to provide our upgrades for the end of January
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The two facets of the project provide benefits to Players, Parents, Coaches, Volunteers and the Local Community. By removing the Poplar trees and transforming the area into the Nature Garden allows the youngsters at the Club and the opposition Clubs to continue to play Football, have fun, enjoyment and understanding the "later in life" skill of teamwork. Parents will have the benefit in the knowledge that their children will continue to play in a safe and healthy environment. The Coaches, Volunteers, Committe Members will also benefit as they know that the Club is doing everything in its power to continue with the high level of commitment, they have to provide a Healthy and safe environment. The local community will have the benefit of weekend enjoyment in the seated area of the nature garden enjoying the youngsters playing Football with peaceful surrounds. The Utilities supply will benefit all who attend Seahills as they are vital to aid in emergency situations and the coffee Hut!!!!!
