PROFILE
Saughall Colts Junior Football Club was founded in 1981 by Keith Evans and the original team played its first home game at Seahills in Saughall which remains their home venue today. In 1986 the Club ventured into the Chester and District Junior Football League(C & DJFL)with the same original team and from that time the Club grew in numbers of players, coaFrom that time m. F From that Colts Jand the original team played its first home game at Seahills in 1983, following which they entered the Chester and District Junior Football League (C&DJFL) in 1986 with the same single team.
From that time the Club grew in numbers of players, coaches, first aiders, Committee members and volunteers, season upon season with the current Season (2022/23) culminating in 30 teams and almost 400 players. Within those statistics there are 3 newly formed girls teams for this season which is seen as a massive milestone in the Club's history.
Aims
Saughall Colts JFC aims to create a safe environment for local children to play and enjoy football.
It is the club’s aim to encourage children of all abilities to play football and improve their skill and understanding of the game.
It is the club’s aim that each age group has its own separate coaching session, run by a coach who has attained the FA Level 1 coaching qualification…The coaching sessions focus on improving individual skill and encouraging teamw ork
