Samba for Sheffield

Like so many things, our Samba for Sheffield project has been impacted by Coronavirus. This update is just to keep you posted about delays to the project. Using the funds provided by you, our wonderfully supportive Crowd, we’re progressing with the purchase of our new drums, beaters, T shirts, flags and banners. We’ll still be running workshops in schools and striving for Arts Awards just as soon as it’s safe to do so and the guidelines we are following permit these activities. We’d hope to showcase our new look band at Hubfest this July but this is now postponed until 2021. But we are still drumming! In lockdown our amazing Youth Samba Band have kept smiling and are loving their virtual band practices via Zoom twice a week! Thank you for your support and stay safe

Now we've reached our target the fundraising stage of Samba for Sheffield will soon be closed and pledges will be collected. Thanks again for your help and support. We couldn't have done it without you!!

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who's pledged to Samba for Sheffield and for helping us hit our target. We're so excited about getting out to more schools and groups to with samba workshops and buying badly needed new instruments for our amazing Youth Samba Band!
