We would like to ensure cricket is available to all young people in the local area but our equipment (bats, balls and stumps) has been well used by past players and needs replacing.
Cricket equipment is very expensive for parents to purchase before their child has even tried and can be a major barrier for participation in this amazing sport. We would like this barrier removed by providing bats, balls and stumps for players to use at club coaching sessions and matches. The equipment would be kept at the club and would be available for anyone to use at the club allowing more runs, wickets and catches to take place for all young players for many seasons.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Every Friday between April and August an amazing team of volunteers giving up time of their evening to assist in the delivery of All Stars and Dynamos Activities for youngsters aged between 5 and 11. These volunteers are keen to pass on their knowledge and expertise of the game of cricket to the young people of Ryde and local areas. They have attended courses but are lacking in suitable equipment for all players to play.
