Keeping the theatre warm

Boiler appeal to raise money to replace the boiler system in the Millennium Theatre which is inefficient and has been assessed by experts who have advised us that it needs replacing within six months.

The idea

The Rossendale Players were founded 90 years ago and bought the Millennium Theatre in the early 90s when refurbishment was started. The Rossendale Players put on 5 productions each year to approximately 3,000 people. The boiler and central heating system was installed as part of a building refurbishment of The Millennium Theatre in 2000. It is regularly maintained but it is becoming obsolete and will soon not be fit for purpose. Without a functioning boiler, the building can not open. We are currently fund raising for a replacement boiler and central heating system.

Why it's a great idea

A fully functioning boiler and central heating system for the comfort of volunteers, members and audiences.
Approximately 3,000 attend the theatre each year and without a functioning boiler and central heating system it would deprive people of the entertainment that the theatre provides.
