The idea
We will set up a youth climbing club and run weekly sessions of both indoor and outdoor climbing and bouldering. The sessions will be delivered by qualified and experienced coaches and opportunities to develop and achieve nationally recognised awards (through the NICAS scheme). The young people will also be able to progress to volunteering through supporting their peers and other communities and at events with our mobile climbing wall.
What we'll deliver
- 20 children/ young people taking part
- 10 children/ young people attaining the NICAS L1 Award
- 5 children/ young people attaining the NICAs L2 Award
- 6 young people progressing into volunteering

- Registering as a youth club with the BMC
- marketing and promoting the club
- planning a programme in consultation with parents/ young people
