Revivify Manor Park! Phase 1

Our park is underutilised, overgrown in places and unloved. The playground is uninspiring and shabby. We want to make it a park to be proud of. One that brings families and the community together.

More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

The plan kept to the brief and has many additional trees- approximately 33 in the new playground alone as well as over 8,000 plants.

The local economy

The local economy

The project will only help the economy once the various phases of the plan are completed.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We have seen an increase in volunteering for Friends of Manor Park nature/clean up days, which is likely to be as a result of the increased community spirit the project has created.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

The plan targeted activities and exercise by adding trim trail items throughout the park and creating two new playgrounds to stimulate and activate children. The gazebo/bandstand will bring communities together to listen to local musicians, story telling sessions, outdoor classroom and meeting place for young adults. The orchard will encourage families to take care of their sponsored tree and the sensory garden will involve those who wish to do some light gardening as well as being beneficial to those with learning difficulties, the blind, elderly or dementia patients.
