Linthwaite Methodist Tennis Club has been based in Linthwaite since 1930 and is located in the grounds of Linthwaite Methodist Church. Originally we had two courts and a bowling green. In 2012 the bowling green was replaced with a third court. We have had at least one Mens, Womens, Intermediate and Junior teams in the Huddersfield & District Tennis League since 1961. We currently have one Womens and one Mens team in the League. Our original two courts are now in poor condition which affects the play. We would like to resurface these to continue to play in the tennis league and enable local children and adults to play safely on our courts. We hope that by resurfacing our courts this will encourage new members and increase funds to our club to maintain them going forward.
