The Latest from Restore & Row: Grosvenor's Legacy

  • Arranged for professional scaffolding to be erected (3x towers).
  •  Replaced missing section of guttering on left hand side of building.
  • Stripped off the right-hand verge at the front of property approximately 1/3rd of the way up from bottom to replace missing under cloaking, then re-bedded gable tiles with a sand and cement mix
  • Replaced broken, slipped and missing tiles on both elevations of the main roof like for like. 
  • Removed pigeon nest from above the bay window on side of the property and blocked off entry points with lead flashings and pigeon spike strips to prevent further nests forming.
  • Replaced a missing brick from under the eaves on the side of property (under left hand gable) then rendered to match existing finish.
  • Once render had dried painted with exterior paint to match existing finish.
  • Cleared out all guttering and ensured downspouts cleared of blockages.
  • Removed all rubbish and debris from site and dispose of correctly. 
  • Supplied and installed quilt insulation to all attic spaces. Ensured that building regulations of a minimum 270mm thickness met.
  • Rolled out a first layer of 200mm thick quilt insulation. Then top off in opposite direction with another layer of 100mm quilt insulation creating a total thickness of 300mm.
  • Ensured that both layers were left back from the eves to ensure air flow to prevent condensation build up.
  • Removed all rubbish and debris from site and disposed of correctly.
