We are looking at renovating the garden to make it more low maintenance.
Our community garden is a focal point at the top of our road and is the first thing that is seen as you access / pass Clancarthy Road. We are looking to transform the community garden and have it more low maintenance without losing it's character and retaining the beautiful silver birch trees. At present the community garden has silver birch trees and perennial shrubs that bloom in summer and winter. However due to the natural shedding of the trees it is becoming more difficult to keep the garden maintained due to the age profile of our committee.

Why it's a great idea:
There is a lot of footfall and traffic that pass by the garden on a daily basis. Turning the garden into a more manageable area will bring the following benefits: People who live very close by will have pride in the area Local children can see nature at its best with the trees and various plats that we have It will be more manageable
Steps to get it done:
We have raised €500 through subscriptions from the residents of Clancarthy road over the last couple of years.

VolunteerThe Clancarthy Residents Association was established in 2013 by a number of residents who wanted to improve our community by taking pride in where we live. We do this through regular road clean-ups and enhancing the area we live in with seasonal flowers in the flower boxes on the road.
We link in with various parties, Dublin City Council, Gardai, Parnell Park in relation to issues raised to parking on match days and we have a pass permit access on match days.
We also post updates to all the houses on the road on all activities and planned initiatives. We get suggestions from the residents on items they would like to see implemented and working with the various parties to achieve them, where feasible.
Project Owner: Clancarthy Residents Association The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
