The Friends of Dane Hill Close Park in Disley is a constituted, voluntary group that was set up in 2019. We have a small committee which consists of local mums and a grandma who are passionate about getting this park back up to standard for our children to enjoy.
In the last 2 years we have been busy building a relationship with the local authority who runs the park and with fundraising in the community. I'm sure you will remember the Safari Fete that we held in Disley last September and the Santa Dash we held at Christmas. Our local Co-op has also chosen us as one of the community projects that they are supporting this year.
We are now focussing our efforts on the bigger pots of money that are available and we are bidding for nearly £10,000 through Crowdfunding. This money will go towards removing the dangerous trim trail that sits in the woodland and replacing it with a modern, safe trail that is suitable for all ages.
We are really hoping the residents and businesses of Disley will get behind this idea and we can't wait to get this project up and running!
