Love Maybe - Monday Message
Recently I went to see Love Maybe, which included singing, dancing, story telling and poetry, all created, produced, and choreographed by people with learning disabilities and / or autism supported by Spring into Action and Meet and Match. The topic was friends and relationships. The production was held at The Brave Church in Oswaldtwistle, a fantastic large room, was attended by the mayor of Hyndburn which gave additional weight to the subject of the show.

More about our impact
The environment
We used local venues to rehearse and so people did not have to travel too far. People used public transport to travel to venues. We used environmentally friendly materials for props and made our own props too. We provided t-shirts from a local company and these were for particiapants to take away and use
The local economy
We were able to support 3 local venues for venue hire, one of which has a cafe - we were able to support this cafe buying breaksfast for the cast and crew on show day, as well as providing refreshements to the audience. We also used a local company for the show t-shirts that everyone wore in the show
Volunteering, jobs & education
There were opportunites for volunteering roles as part of the project: core production team, supporting the creative sessions and rehearsals and on the day of the show. It provided paid work for the Creative Facilitator, plus sessional staff supporting the sessions
Arts, culture & heritage
We provided an arts programme for people who do not normally access creative arts.
Activity, health and leisure
All of the activities we provided as part of the show supported health and wellbeinf - creative workshops included movement and dance, singing, to support positive activites.
