The idea
By Re-invigorating cricket in St Ives and Warboys we will aim to re-engage existing players and attract new people to our club by:
- subsidising winter indoor junior and adult training sessions to encourage wider participation
- helping those who have suffered financial hardship by Covid-19 pandemic with reduced or free match fees and subscription rates
- send in paid coaches into schools in advance of the 2021 season to deliver taster sessions and promote cricket
- funding additonal coaches and the course they need to help out with training sessions
- purchase of additional equipment to help with junior and adult training sessions and player development
What we'll deliver
- Deliver a minimum of 8 taster sessions in local schools
- Support a minimum of 2 new coaches to take the courses they need to help with training
- Ensure those in financial difficulty caused by Covid-19 have access to cricket
- Purchase of balls, cones, poles, ladders etc to aid the delivery of training sessions
