The Tour Series Pro Cycle Race returns to Redditch this May. Children love cycling! What a perfect opportunity to inspire the next generation of young people!
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Our aim is to: • Encourage young people and children to engage in cycling, for pleasure or as a sporting activity. • Strengthen children's emotional and physical health by giving them the knowledge and skills to lead an active and healthy lifestyle, using the fun and practical skill of riding a bike. • Teach children how to be safe on the road whilst cycling. • Broaden horizons by taking children to visit centres of Cycling Excellence such as Boardman bikes as well as meeting our pro cyclist face to face. • Showcase their new skills as part of the fun packed Tour Series day. Something as simple as riding a bike can encourage confidence, curiosity, and independence. This can support efforts to live more environmentally-conscious lifestyles, and teach children skills they will have for a lifetime. We believe by tapping into the joy of riding a bike, the health of our kids, our communities, and our environment can be enhanced.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
• Teach new skills and spark new interests in cycling and other sports. • Boost positive mental attitude. • Travel around for free. • Educate and instil in children positive, safe, and active lifelong habits. • Inspire the next generation of Tour Series riders!
