The idea

Red Tales Of a Green Dream would be the latest addition in a series or eye-catching, eco-conscious urban artworks, which promote and endorse the concept of nature and nurture.

Presented through the engaging gaze of a red panda mother and her child, this large-scale natural-world mural will greet all those passing through, or visiting a diverse urban neighbourhood, with an enchanting appeal for empathy and conservation.

This artistic proposal seeks to be both inspiring, educational, and inspirational; displaying radiant colour, and a warm sense of family and place, alongside the importance of protecting and engaging with the animal kingdom, and its environment.

All those who contribute will take a vital share in this meaningful tableau of nature and nurture.

What we'll deliver

  • A new artwork, set within a free-to-experience outdoor gallery.

Why it's a great idea

We believe the mural will:

- contribute to an uplifting and inspiring urban landscape to discover and explore;
- promote and encourage a strong sense of local pride and community;
- act as a beacon to the younger generation to engage with the natural world;
- encourage people to consider our relationship with the animal kingdom, and its place within a world of endangerment and climate change;
- give an insight into the work of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and its Red List of Threatened Species. The red panda (Ailurus fulgens) is classified by the IUCN as endangered.
