We provide facilities for the participation in inclusive musical theatre training and performance opportunities for children and young people aged 12-21 no matter their abilities or finances
We aim to foster creativity, confidence, and teamwork while making the performing arts accessible to all, regardless of background or financial situation. This group will help young people come together, learn the value of team work, learn emotional expression, build confidence, enhance literacy, communication, and language skills through script reading and performance and offer an inclusive and supportive environment for social interaction. We will promote health and wellbeing in young people by supporting children’s emotional expression and confidence building, offering an inclusive and supportive environment for social interaction thereby providing a creative outlet to reduce stress and anxiety.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
By creating this group we are looking to strengthen local communities by bringing families together through performances, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and leadership skills and we will be partnering with local schools, colleges, amateur dramatics societies and other youth organizations to maximize impact. Representatives from our cast will be involved in with decision making on the committee to empower them all. We will be working with theatres and staff in the local community and wider area to help produce our shows, employing locally skilled . We are also trying to raise enough funds so that there is no cost to any of our young people to take part in our productions so that there will be no financial barriers for anyone involved.
