More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

We're processing more donated bikes than ever before and ensuring that those bikes that can't be economically refurbished for re-use and be responsibly recycled and that any usable components can be re-used. This enables us to get more bikes out to people via our referral scheme and via our shops making cycling an affordable and environmentally friendly transport option for more people.

The local economy

The local economy

Cyclists have been able to purchase affordable salvaged parts for their bikes. Using salvaged parts has enabled us to keep the price of our refurbished bikes down so that more people can buy a bike and travel in a way that is cheap, healthy, great for the environment and fun! Volunteers have gained new skills. We have recently employed 3 volunteers in paid positions.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

We have increased the number of bikes sold and given away to people referred to us by 50% so that more people can enjoy the benefits of riding a bike.
