Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
By Basingstoke Voluntary Action
The Camrose Centre is a drop-in centre to help homeless and vulnerable people. We want to open the centre for an extra day so that those who are sleeping rough can come and get breakfast.
Off the back of our previous successful campaign to open a night shelter and a shower room, the idea is to open the centre for 2.5 hours on a Friday morning so that those who are sleeping rough can come and get breakfast and some extra support from staff. The Camrose Centre may need to recruit new staff and volunteers to cover these extra hours (9.00am -13.00pm including set up/ clear down)
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This is a great idea because breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it is providing another time during the week for people who are sleeping rough to be able to go and get the help and support they need.
