The idea
We are a self funded ladies football club that has been in existence for over 35 years providing football for females over the age of 16.
Due to the recent cost of living crisis we are aware of more and more players unable to meet their monthly subscription costs , these are used to cover our weekly training fees at Poolfoot which costs the club £150 per week and an additional goalkeeper coach which costs the club £30 per week.
As many of the players are parents/home owners we understand that other bills have priorities and the club and currently we are running with a £2.5k debt across the club form players struggling to pay.
Players also pay all their own travel costs across the North West of England and we would also look to subsidise those with the greatest need.
What we'll deliver
- Three open age female teams playing
Why it's a great idea
Reduce the pressure on parents, home owners and students to pay monthly subs where they are currently struggling.
Enable us to ensure that we keep females in the game and don't leave due to financial pressure.
The funding would also allow us to subsidise travel and reduce burden on players.
Steps to get it done
- Committee meeting to identify with managers the players requiring support and forecast of potential travel costs.
