The idea
Research has shown that the arts are so often undervalued and under funded. Yet the benefits of arts/creativity to the health and well being of indiividuals and society, is well documented.
Project 'sound bite' aims to make art and culture more accessible to our community, and MAPSS have come together with a team of established poets, writers, artists, drama teachers, musicians, and complimentary therapists, to achieve this.
We aim to transform our spacious basement, into a sound proofed, safe space, that will allow the community to come together, and share a uniting theme. Chilling and chatting with a cuppa and a bite, sharing and learning new skills.
Bite size work shops, complimentary therapies, open mic sessions and other social events will be delivered.
Our services will be available to all ages and abilities, nurturing and promoting artistic abilities, or just being there and enjoying the environment.
