More about our impact
The environment
The event was held in a park. We tried to make people enjoy the activities run outdoor as well as enjoy healthy Polish food. It made them aware of importance of environment and contact with nature.
The local economy
The business run locally had a chance to promote their products and services at our event. We helped them to grow.
Volunteering, jobs & education
There were over 20 volunteers involved in preparing and running the event. They gained new skills, met new people and increased their social competence. Those people were happy working with us. There were jobless mums among them who missed social relations and were happy to work together. Some of them still keep in touch with us and ask about next event.
Arts, culture & heritage
We promoted Polish heritage through organising treasure hunt with many puzzles regarding Polish history and culture and its contribution into British life.
Activity, health and leisure
We encouraged people to come to the park and celebrate with us. They could have picnicking with us and we provided them with healthy and tasty Polish food. Children run and play and took part in treasure hunt and other outdoor activities.
