The idea
Just like many other organisations and community sports clubs, the COVID-19 lockdown has had a big impact on Consett Cricket Club. We have suffered a huge loss of income due to reduced sponsorship and reduced bar sales. Despite this, we still have bills to pay including insurance, rent, club house maintenance and pitch maintenance. To be able to continue to provide cricket for the local community we need your help to meet some of these costs. Money that you donate will be partially matched by the England & Wales Cricket Board so please give generously! We hope to see cricket back at Consett soon.

Why it's a great idea
Continue to provide cricket and coaching for adults, young people and children. We believe it is vital to encourage everyone, especially young people, to participate in a sport such as cricket to promote health, teamwork and in many cases a sense of achievement.
Steps to get it done
- Continue to offer cricket to adults and children once the lockdown is over.
