More about our impact
The local economy
Paid work for local artists and activity providers, with a chance for them to promote their businesses
Volunteering, jobs & education
Lots of volunttering opportunities for the community
Arts, culture & heritage
We were very successful in bringing art activities to people who might not otherwise access them. We provided two community arts activities, 'Sutton as One', which is being displayed locally and a Sunflower chalk trail for adults and children, plus our plein air drawing classes, nature photography, calligraphy, drama for children and interactive Storytelling, plus finger knitting. We also hosted Folk in the Park, an outdoor concert for 300 people. Most importantly, all activities were free and artists were paid for their involvement
Activity, health and leisure
We promoted healthy activities by [providing 8 sessions of Tai Chi and 16 yoga sessions throughout the summer, plus active storytelling and drama, plus Groove Within dance exercise and Kindy Rock every Saturday for the little ones. In spite of the awful weather, we managed to give everyone fun outdoor experiences with our mini beast hunting, picnics and our Summer Folk in the Park concert. We added our fun dog Show to the mix for our canine friends and their walkers!
