Cotswold Lakes Trust - Perch Pod

The new mobile information and education trailer, the Beaver Bus (formally the Perch Pod) has finally arrived. Re-purposed from an old horse box, the new Beaver opens up to reveal incredible paintings as shown in the photos. Following the appointment of our new Nature Engagement Officer, the Beaver Bus will tour the local area visiting primary schools to inspire children to learn about nature and the fantastic landscape of the Cotswold Water Park. Our mobile education and information trailer is due to be ready in spring next year. We have purchased the horse box and have had discussions with our contractor and designer to talk through the design. During these meetings we discussed an alternative design which we feel better portrays the Cotswold Water Park’s importance as a wetland habitat. We are now progressing with a Beaver themed design instead of the Perch which we feel will engage the imaginations of both school children and visitors alike. The change does not have an implication on the cost as both designs can easily be superimposed on the horse box. We hope you like the uploaded sketch of the proposed Beaver Bus!
