Boom. #pengelicious is now fully funded and ready to launch Penge's first local food fair on August 27th! Thanks to the Mayor of London's crowdfunding team for last night pledging our final £500 funding live at #crowdfundLDN, the first time a Spacehive project has hit their target live on the night. Woop. But it could not have happened without the massive support from local residents, businesses and friends of Penge, who together had already pledged 87% of our funding, 60% of which was raised in just 6 days in early June. Humbling. Special thanks to Property World and all our other local business sponsors. So, do you want to take a slot on a stall, to sell your own local food? Wow, 95 backers. Thanks so much guys for keeping up the momentum. We're really looking to build as broad a support base as we can. Right now that means it's more about the number of pledges than the individual amount of each pledge. Wow. Big thanks to Anya Stang for tipping us over the 80 pledge mark just now. We've now hit both the targets the Mayor's office set us, to demonstrate the extent of our great local support. Thanks so much to all our you who have backed Penge's first food fair, as individuals and as local businesses, especially our sponsors Property World, Designer Drapes & Kirvan Bond. How much further can we go? The more we over-fund, the more we demonstrate to the Mayor how well supported Pengelicious is locally, so he will hopefully close our final funding gap. This is amazing guys. Great to see such a surge of support from local residents and businesses. We're up to 70 pledges. So we just need 10 more pledges by the end of Sunday.
