Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
We are 87% of the way towards reaching our target, with just a few days left to get there. Tremendous thanks to all of those who have supported this project so far, and a special plea to everyone to ask anyone else they think would also support it, to make a pledge. As a reminder, the project is for two things: - 1) to commission a visitor survey better to understand Aldridge Transport Museum’s existing visitor base – where they came from, why they came, how long they stayed, what they liked or didn’t like about their visit, what facilities they would have liked to have found, etc., etc. By default, this also informs where visitors are not coming from, and 2) to create a Friends’ group for the Museum, to broaden and diversify the demographics of those who engage with it on a regular basis. Specifically, Friends’ Groups help in generating income; public relations; recruiting members, and providing volunteer support for daily and special activities, in Aldridge’s case too, enabling it to work towards opening daily. Nearby attractions with successful Friends’ Groups include: - the Black Country Living Museum; Dudley Archives; Walsall Arboretum, and the New Art Gallery Walsall. Please help us with these aims, and remember that pledges can be from as little as £2. Thank you once again for your support!
Great News! Backing for this important Project has reached 87%! With just one week left to go we now need to get a few extra pledges in, so please spread the word around to any- and everyone you think would support us. This Visitor Survey, and forming a Friends’ Group, are key in helping Aldridge Transport Museum fulfil its role as a key attraction in Walsall – home to local road transport history and to so many people’s memories!
Whoop, 10 people have pledged since fundraising began!
